Are You Ready to Win?

Factory pedal assemblies are made for going to the grocery store, taking the kids to school, or grabbing food from your favorite eatery. They are constructed to provide silent operation, but there are hardly any alterations available outside of adding an adjustable cable, quadrant or firewall adjuster. These are good additions, but the factory components are still going to return vague operation. Furthermore, most pedal assemblies aren’t adjustable fore and aft, so fine-tuning pedal location is impossible. If performance and getting to the finish line first is your primary concern, let’s put the pedal to the metal and take a deep dive into the FFP Customs patented pedal assembly.

This innovative design offers an easy to install bolt-in adjustable pedal assembly that allows the driver to position themselves in the car for optimal safety and comfort as well as providing optimum performance in benefits of weight balance; moving weight in the car can be a great tuning tool.

The FFP Customs patented pedal assembly allows a driver of any height and stature to move the throttle pedal, brake pedal, and clutch pedal individually to suit their needs. All the metal components of this kit are custom made in Dover, Florida from 6061 Aluminum, providing optimum strength without excess weight. The compact design of the master cylinder and brake lines mounted under the dash cleans up the engine bay and leaves more space for engine access, while also allowing for larger engine and power adder combinations. The FFP Customs patented pedal assembly uses factory mounting points, allowing for an easy bolt and go install. To accommodate all drivers preferences this package is offered in several combinations: brake, throttle; brake, throttle and clutch, but also with just a brake pedal if that is all you need for your race application. No fabrication work or welding is required. We have step-by-step instructions on our website and YouTube, and customer support is available by phone and social media to provide you with everything that is needed for a fast, easy, successful install of this product. Current productions offered for 1979-2004 Mustang, with more applications being designed and built for the 2005-2014 Mustang, Chevrolet S10, Camaro, Nova, etc.

FFP Pedal Assembly

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the different pedal assemblies FFP offers?

We offer a pedal assembly for those needing clutch, brake and throttle, but also those just needing a clutch and brake pedal assembly as well as a stand alone brake pedal assembly, but that does not apply to a stick car since the clutch pedal relies on the brake pedal assembly for mounting. If you have a stick car you are converting to auto, by adding one of our pedal assemblies, you eliminate the clutch pedal from the equation to free up room under the dash.

What is included with an FFP Customs pedal assembly?

Everything that is required to complete the conversion is included in the FFP Customs pedal assembly kit based on the options you select when you place your order. You will be able to remove your factory pedal assembly and simply bolt the FFP pedal assembly in its place using factory mounting points. We include all Grade 8 hardware, all necessary components, and brake lines to connect the master cylinder. With so many brake applications, going from our firewall mount bulkhead to each brake caliper is left up to the end user.

What pedal pad surface options are available with the pedal assemblies?

We offer both a pedal pad featuring anti-slip tape or a natural billet aluminum finish pedal. Looking at it we know most will feel more comfortable with the anti-slip option. However, many people have used the natural billet aluminum finish pedals without issue. It is a matter of personal preference, and what is going to make you more comfortable at the controls of your car.

Will an FFP Customs pedal assembly work with a factory clutch cable system?

No, our pedal assemblies help convert a clutch cable arrangement to a hydraulic clutch actuation system. In other words, our pedal assemblies have no provision for a factory-style clutch cable.

Are FFP Customs pedal assemblies strictly for race cars?

No, but our pedal assemblies are designed for off-road applications. Adding an FFP Customs pedal assembly eliminates the power booster, eliminating power assist to the brake pedal. With our brake pedal ratio and master cylinder bore size this configuration provides excellent braking results.

Are there provisions for additional accessories?

A nitrous arming switch is available for mounting to the throttle pedal. We also can provide an ignition cut-off switch that is controlled by the clutch pedal.

Does the installation require any custom fabrication or welding?

No, our pedal assemblies are designed to be installed using factory mounting holes. We have done all the design work necessary to make this a simple bolt on and go modification. All components and brackets attach using existing mounting holes. No expertise beyond basic mechanical skills are required. We provide detailed step-by-step installation videos, and are happy provide support by phone and social media if needed.

What is the brake pedal ratio?

Keeping it simple, pedal ratio is basically a way to provide mechanical leverage to assist the driver without having to use too much of the driver's physical effort. The more pedal leverage you have the more force that can be applied to the master cylinder with less driver effort.

Who makes the master cylinder included with the kit?

We work with Wilwood and include one of the company’s remote tandem brake and clutch master cylinder kits with every pedal assembly.

Will conventional brake bleeding methods work with the pedal assemblies?

Brake bleeding instructions and hardware is included with the Wilwood master cylinder, but yes, conventional brake bleeding methods are used.

Where are the brake reservoirs mounted with the pedal assemblies?

The brake master cylinder reservoirs can either be mounted in the engine compartment or under the dash using a roll bar mount, or a mixture of both.

Does the factory steering column work with an FFP Customs pedal assembly?

No, the factory steering column does not work with the FFP Customs pedal assembly. There are a variety of steering column solutions that pair well with our pedal assembly. First, we offer a bolt-in, adjustable lightweight steering column. Second, you can build a custom column from a DIY kit. Third, we have seen other aftermarket columns that are compatible with our pedal assembly.
